The Wellness and Group Business Development Manager is responsible for the development and growth of their assigned markets, geographic and demographic, which may include key accounts, collaboration partners, corporate wellness and corporate group account revenues and /or total guest nights. This individual takes an entrepreneurial approach to developing and recommending strategic market initiatives and direction for their assigned market, monitoring market and competitive trends and proactively recommends actionable items to grow market share for Canyon Ranch.
Responsibilities:
In this position, you'll work with property level sales teams and other Business Development Managers on strategic and tactical initiatives to ensure alignment across the brand. This key player also takes a leadership role in planning and executing virtual and in-person trade-shows and client events, such as Wellness Tourism Association, B2B appointment based events, educational retreats and in-market pop-ups. Must be an excellent team player, and communicator. You'll be meticulous in documenting your sales activities so the team can act quickly and efficiently, documents leads and actively grows data base for email communication and marketing.
You will be the Canyon Ranch brand ambassador at all times.

Responsibilities include:
  • Sales Strategy: Designs and implements business plans and sales strategies that ensure the growth of sales from assigned geographic/demographic market. Remains current on competitive positioning, trends and compression within assigned marketplace. Stays current on virtual and in-person sales opportunities to reach new clients. Works within budget guidelines to deliver a maximum ROI.
  • Sales Activity: Conducts sales activities toward achievement of sales strategy, current goals and budgets. Is mindful, creative and "on-brand" will all sales activations. Professionally documents all sales activities in Canyon Ranch CRM and PMS. Maximizes the always evolving tools provided to discover new business - i.e. ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, DemandScience or other service.
  • Collaboration: Proactive and regular communication with resort teams and in-market business development colleagues to ensure strategies and actions are synergistic, enabling all stakeholders to exceed revenue and guest night goals.
Other functions and duties include:
  • Actively demonstrates Canyon Ranch service standards and Ethos principles with staff and guests.
  • Participates in meetings and Travel to other Canyon Ranch properties or vendor locations as needed.
  • Conducts virtual and in-person trainings for clients
Qualifications:
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
  • 10+ years of progessive experience in the luxury hospitality and/or wellness space with a focus on both corporate and leisure sales
  • Education: Associate degree or two-year equivalent specialized training or experience required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Software: Proficient in space/booking software using Delphi or Delphi FDC. CRM tools including Salesforce, EMMA, Constant Contact or similar products.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the overall immersion wellness experience.
  • Established media and influencer contacts in field of health, wellness, travel, lifestyle and luxury.
  • Possess a solid and current understanding of hotel e-commerce including the different OTA sites.

LOCATION: The ideal candidate will be based in the Northwest U.S. with preference for N California, Oregon or Washington state.
