Overview: We are seeking an experienced Demand Planner with advanced proficiency in demand forecasting and production planning, coupled with strong analytical skills to support business analysis functions. This role requires a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, forecasting methodologies, and business processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in demand planning and possess the ability to leverage data insights for strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and business insights.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to gather forecast information and validate assumptions.
Monitor and analyze demand patterns, identifying risks and opportunities to optimize inventory levels.
Work closely with production and procurement teams to ensure alignment between demand and supply plans.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecast accuracy and supply chain efficiency.
Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess the impact of changes in demand or supply variables.
Generate regular reports and performance metrics related to demand planning and inventory management.
Act as a liaison between different departments to facilitate cross-functional communication and alignment.
Support business analysis efforts by analyzing data, interpreting trends, and providing actionable insights.
Participate in strategic planning sessions to contribute demand planning expertise and support decision-making processes.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in demand planning, production planning, or supply chain analytics.
Proficiency in demand forecasting tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, macros, data visualization) and experience with statistical software (e.g., R, Python) preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
Proven track record of driving process improvements and delivering results in a dynamic business environment.
Experience in business analysis, including conducting cost-benefit analysis, process mapping, and performance monitoring.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM) is a plus.
