Leading International Valve Manufacturer and Distributor seeks an experienced Industrial Business Development Manager for our growing Southeastern US Territory. We have long standing partnerships with the leading petrochemical and Oil & Gas companies throughout the Southeastern United States. Position Overview
As our Industrial Business Development Manager, you are responsible for selling, marketing, and promoting our products and services to new customers and additional sales to existing customers. Your primary objectives are to prospect for new accounts, follow up on sales leads and maintain relationships with customers within your six-state territory. This position will require someone who is self-driven and determined to manage and grow this territory.

Position Responsibilities
  • Aggressively and independently seeks out new business and sales opportunities for driving revenue through cold calling, appointment setting and networking
  • Establishes and maintains customer relationships
  • Learns and evaluates customer operations to aid in identifying customer objectives, requirements, and preferences
  • Processes services quotations, finalizes contracts, and provides continuous follow up throughout the completion of the customer's purchasing cycle
  • Gathers and reports to management information regarding the company, competitors, pricing, products, and current and future market trends as well as assists management in planning, tracking, and implementing sales strategies and developing new markets
  • Participates in sales forecasting by researching, developing, and maintaining long- and short-range sales and marketing plans
  • Produces sales reports for management by monitoring, analyzing, and communicating sales data
  • Process quotes and sales orders and communicate status of orders with our customers

Position Compensation/Benefits
  • $75-$85K+ base salary
  • Lucrative Commission Plan based on Gross Sales
  • Car allowance

Position Requirements
  • College Degree preferred in a technical field but Minimum HS Diploma required
  • 3-5 years’ experience selling valves; triple offset butterfly sales experience a huge plus
  • Must have experience selling to Industrial markets – Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Energy, Offshore and Steel OR Power Plant, Water, HVAC or EPC experience will also be considered
  • Must have demonstrated success in cold calling, appointment setting, entertaining clients and closing business in our industry
  • Must have a strong technical aptitude with working technical knowledge of industrial valves
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook with advanced Excel skills
  • Must be willing and able to travel throughout six state territory
  • Stays on the forefront of technology trends and how they apply to real world projects
