Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Manufacturing Technologist to join our dynamic team. This role will be instrumental in enhancing our production processes, improving quality control, and supporting the development of new products. The ideal candidate will have a passion for manufacturing excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Manufacturing Technologist
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing advanced manufacturing technologies to enhance production efficiency, safety, and product quality.
- Design molds, parts, and fixtures for manufacturing processes using CAD/CAM software as needed.
- Support the design, testing, and development of new stone veneer products and molds.
- Develop and maintain a robust quality control/assurance program, ensuring product consistency and adherence to industry standards.
- Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conduct time/work studies, and establish production standards.
- Implement and manage production, inventory, and quality assurance programs to streamline manufacturing operations.
- Develop and execute industrial health, safety, and fire prevention plans, as well as conduct safety training programs for staff.
- Contribute to research and adoption of innovative materials, processes, and production techniques.
· Create technical documentation and cad drawings to support products with architects and designers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical challenges related to materials, production, and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Certification in industrial engineering, manufacturing technology, or a related field through a provincial or territorial association of engineering/applied science technologists and technicians (may be required for certain positions). OR
- Completion of a one- or two-year college program in industrial engineering technology or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control methodologies.
- Proficiency in design and drafting programs (CAD/CAM).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on teamwork.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
