Job Description:


You will be responsible for developing and implementing LSPedia’s conference and trade show strategy with the objective of creating opportunities for rich interaction that showcase our solutions, differentiation, and ultimately drive preference and demand. You will work closely with our creative, sales and executive teams, as well as the balance of the marketing organization, to promote and deliver compelling experiential marketing events as well as leverage those activations to build awareness across the industry, at-large.

Responsibilities

1. Event Strategy and Planning:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine event goals, target audience, and messaging
  • Conduct research on events and activities, and present recommendations to internal stakeholders
  • Maintain master event list and calendar of events and associated deadlines
  • Manage timelines and budgets to ensure that approved event schedule is executed upon, that administrative tasks and internal processes are followed
  • Manage and serve as department liaison with web, sales and social teams for digital promotion, activation and any other event-related online activities

2. Event Execution and Management:

  • Manage event logistics, such as contracting, shipping, vendor coordination and travel arrangements
  • Manage sponsorship-related activities as well as executive speaker submissions
  • Support – remote or on-site – event logistics including registration, signage, AV setup, and catering
  • Track event-related expenditures and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality
  • Monitor event progress, handle any issues or changes that arise, and ensure successful event outcomes

Collaborate with Sales and Sales Operations to ensure that leads and contacts from the event are entered into CRM for return-on-investment tracking and calculation

3. Post-Event Evaluation and Reporting:

  • Manage registration code creation and free pass distribution, and track usage for internal reporting
  • Conduct post-event evals to measure the success of events and gather feedback for continuous improvement
  • Analyze event metrics, including attendance, lead generation and customer satisfaction, to assess event effectiveness
  • Prepare post-event reports summarizing key findings, insights, and recommendations for future events

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in event planning and management, preferably in the life sciences or tech industries or B2B sector
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events and activities concurrently
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional results
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Budgeting and financial management skills to ensure cost-effective event execution
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
