Title: Inside Distribution Sales Representative
Reports To: Director, Distribution Sales
Summary: Responsible for supporting sales with our distributors within a defined territory. The position requires commitment to customer service, interact with distributors and customers, process samples and design follow up, resolve delivery issues, manage various internal sales systems and provide reports and analytics. Direct customer and distributor firm visits may occur occasionally.
Responsibilities:
- Support TDK products and overall distribution sales coverage within defined territory

Maintain existing relationships with distributors’ branch offices and staff, which includes:
- Manage communications (phone, email, text, etc.) with Branch Mgt, FSRs, FAEs, IS, etc.
- Branch/customer training support
- Document branch distribution contacts and update for changes

Provides sales support that includes the following:
- Schedule customer visits with distributors and TDK members
- Liaison between distribution contacts and TDK team members
- Forecasting (customer POS), as needed
- Samples including delivery and design follow up (TDK internal systems, SFC & SIPS)
- RFQ follow up, special attention to Bid for Buy
- Support customers with delivery issues
- Mapping and defining EMS end customer programs and design locations
- Document key customer contacts, including engineering, buyers, management, etc.

Manage, process and support information in TDK systems:
- Registrations and renewals
- Ship and Debit support
- Funnel Maintenance, including quoting support
- Salesforce Automation system
- Budde Marketing system usage, including lost business, sample mining – follow up
- Review distributors’ webpages

Reporting and documentation:
- Quarterly training report performed at distributor branches
- Customer call/virtual/visit reports – within 2 business days of event
- Territory Business Review
Education: Bachelor’s degree required, in business or engineering preferred, or equivalent experience
Experience/Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of sales support experience, preferably in distribution and within the electronic component industry.
- Experience with distribution firms and direct customers is required.
- Travel is required (approximately 20%).
- Training of Quality and AIAG Core Tools
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- This position requires the use of typical office equipment such as a computer, laptop, and cell phone. Most work is completed in an office environment.
