Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Business Development Manager! This is a short-term summer position with the possibility of extending into continued part-time or full-time employment, depending on availability and performance. As part of our commitment to training and equipping, this is a perfect opportunity for university students or anyone who is making a shift in careers. We also welcome experienced business-minded people to our team.

This is a key role that requires strong communication skills, a deep care for people, and a personable personality who can make a great sales pitch.

The ideal candidate for this role will be passionate about serving the church market, interacting with and encouraging church leaders, and will be able to understand and empathize with the struggles, challenges and burdens that our customers face and deal with in ministry. The ideal candidate will have at least limited experience working or volunteering in a ministerial capacity.

Duties will include:

  • Contact potential customers, schedule and run live demos (via Zoom) with them, maintain contact with potential customers and help them to transition from potential to committed.
  • Reach out to and follow up with existing potential customers or past prospects.
  • Identify potential customers, cold contact and/or send marketing materials.
  • Oversee, plan and operate a social media presence to raise awareness, gain attention, and point customers to use our platform or schedule a demo.
  • Connect with existing customers to obtain reviews and testimonials.
  • Handle and resolve support requests from existing customers.
  • Interact with Facebook groups to inform customers about the product.
  • Identity the needs of potential customers and downfalls of competition to provide detailed analysis of improvements or new products that we should be considering and offering.
  • Connecting with customers and potential customers, praying for them and with them, and encouraging them in a personable and genuine way, showing that we are hear to serve the church market, whether or not they ever become a customer.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand market presence
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities

Skills:

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and trends
  • Familiarity with Connection Card Pro or similar church management software (such as Planning Center, Breeze, Church Community Builder, Pushpay, etc.) are a plus.

This is a temporary (roughly 4 months, based on availability) full-time (35-40 hours) position with the possibility of extending into a part-time or full-time position.

This is ideal for a university student who is looking for summer work and an opportunity to grow, while working a unique position that combines both ministry and business.

During the temporary position, you will receive 1 week of paid time off plus every other Friday paid time off. This is an on-site in-office position in Maple Ridge, BC.

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
