Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with current and prospective customers by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Identify new business opportunities through networking, industry events, referrals, and proactive outreach. Convert leads into active customers using consultative selling techniques.
  • Master the technical details and advantages of our masonry products, educate customers on offerings, and assist them in making informed purchasing decisions.
  • Showcase products through compelling presentations and on-site demonstrations, addressing customer queries and highlighting product benefits.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and payment structures with customers, ensuring timely processing of sales agreements.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market shifts, and competitor activities, sharing insights with management to help shape sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Customer Service, Inside Sales, and Purchasing, to provide a seamless customer experience.
  • Travel within the assigned territory to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in outside sales, preferably in masonry materials. Experience in meeting or exceeding sales targets is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to develop new accounts and implement successful sales strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage customers and convey technical information effectively.
  • Familiarity with consultative selling, prospecting, and relationship-building strategies.
  • Understanding of masonry materials, techniques, and trends. Knowledge of masonry construction supplies is advantageous.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and current auto insurance as per company policy.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of work experience, with construction-related experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of sales experience required, preferably in masonry sales.
