Job Description

The adidas TERREX and Five Ten Brand Experience Program brings the best of the brand to life at events, community meet-ups, and retail shops. With an emphasis on community, the BER program is engaging with consumers at events and retail shops.


The Brand Experience Rep is the link between the brand and team at Headquarters and the community and consumer. You will be successful by cultivating the community in the five sport categories that TERREX and Five Ten are part of. You are the face of the Brand at grassroots events and assist in the implementation of the grassroots marketing plan by the Market Activation Manager. This specific role is for the Northeast territory with the Brand Experience Rep being based in New England region.


YOUR IMPACT IN THE ROLE:

  • Grassroots Marketing: Develop and execute grassroots and events marketing initiatives in accordance with best practices as defined by the adidas TERREX and Five Ten internal team as well as Archrival. In addition, assist with ongoing or new initiatives outlined by the Market Activation Manager.
  • Deliver Insights: Provide event, consumer, retail, and product insights and trends from the field. In a timely manner, so insights may be used to improve the efficiency of the BER Program.
  • Represent the Brand: Serve as an advocate for TERREX and five ten. Be the adidas expert; for events, product information, and consumer experience.
  • Provide Market Visibility: Document experiences while in the field to included events, community meetups, and retail shops.
  • Collaborate with Sales Representative; assist in maintaining relationships with key accounts and shops (quarterly for top five accounts). Assist the sales team in supporting key accounts.
  • Build and Maintain Community Relations: establish and maintain relationships with gyms, retailers, communities, and organizations to drive brand awareness.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Engage with customers and community at events.
  • Support and assist other Brand Experience Reps at events and by sharing insights.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time, with events and work responsibilities on nights and weekends.
  • Authenticity and passion to speak credibly about trail running, hiking, biking, climbing, and snow sports.
  • Strong attention to detail, extremely reliable and capable of troubleshooting to make things happen.
  • Self-sufficient and highly motivated, with an ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to understand, track and be accountable to Agency and Brand goals and objectives.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Existing knowledge and passion for outdoor sports, culture, and the broader industry surrounding it.
  • Maintain product knowledge of adidas Terrex and Five Ten; relay information to customers, shops staff, and the community.
  • Setup field marketing display at events.
  • Hold demonstrations of product at various events and community meetups.
  • Identify and pitch creative opportunities to generate brand awareness and advocacy through events, community engagement and brand activation.

WHAT ELSE YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • In this position you will be an Archrival Agent, employed through the agency but representing adidas TERREX and Five Ten brands.
  • You will be expected to work 40 hours a week with a shifting schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • There is no office for this position. When you're not at events, you're in the company van. When you're not in the company van, you're at an event.
  • You must have a valid driver's license, and a cleaning driving record, with an ability to drive long distances.
  • For this position, you must be able to lift heavy objects over 30 lbs.
  • Rep to be based in New England or New York to cover the North East territory.
  • Compensation for this role is set at $55,000. *Compensation is derived from sound market data, and is reviewed yearly to ensure fair, competitive wages are maintained.
