General Purpose:

To oversee and manage daily operations, ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high safety, quality, and efficiency standards. The Supervisor is responsible for leading and supporting a team of production employees, coordinating resources, addressing operational challenges, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role ensures the production process runs smoothly, on schedule, and within budget while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Job Summary:

The White Tower Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the wind tower production area. This role involves managing a team of production employees, ensuring that production goals are met, and maintaining high safety, quality, and efficiency standards. The Supervisor is also responsible for coordinating resources, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the production process.

Responsibilities:

Oversees day-to-day production operations, establishing priorities and optimizing resources to ensure the daily fulfillment of the White Tower production plan.

Continuous follow-up and fulfillment of targets for production performance (KPIs). Complies, stores, and retrieves production data and reports results on the departmental KPI board.

Provide regular performance feedback to subordinates. Develops subordinates’ skills and encourages growth.

Ensure that employees’ competencies are sufficient and up-to-date for future demands.

Supervise and coordinate the activities of white tower floor personnel to ensure timely and accurate assembly of internal components.

Plan and prioritize daily production schedules to meet customer demands and production goals.

Train, mentor, and guide team members on production, quality standards, and safety protocols.

Maintain inventory of components and materials needed for processes and coordinate with procurement as necessary.

Implement and enforce safety procedures and practices to maintain a safe working environment.

Collaborate with other supervisors and managers to improve production efficiency, quality, and employee morale.

Responsible for accurate and timely review and approval of employee time sheets.

Education, Training, and Skills Required:

bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered

◆ Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing environment, with specific experience in mechanical assembly or production preferred.

◆ Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, and technical specifications.

◆ Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve production goals.

◆ Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

◆ Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making, focusing on continuous improvement and process optimization.

◆ Knowledge of safety standards and regulations applicable to manufacturing operations.

◆ Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Industrial maintenance environment involving heavy equipment is standard. Physical hazards are present due to equipment and machinery. Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.

This position is set to close on or about November 30th, 2024.

Employees are responsible to perform duties related to generating and storing hazardous waste in satellite accumulation areas. Must remain within regulatory and internal compliance when using, handling or segregating hazardous materials and waste.

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
