Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth by identifying and cultivating relationships with potential clients in the Okanagan region. This role requires a strategic approach to sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the VP of Business Development, action a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets for group charter bus travel within the Okanagan region.
Identify and prospect potential clients, including event planners, tour operators, schools, corporations, and other organizations in need of group transportation services.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Conduct sales presentations and demonstrations to showcase our services and value proposition effectively.
Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of booked trips, including scheduling, vehicle allocation, and driver assignments.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new business opportunities.
Prepare and submit accurate sales forecasts, reports, and other administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in direct sales.
Travel and Tourism industry experience preferred.
Diploma or Degree and asset – Business, Communications and/or Travel and Tourism
Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably within the transportation or hospitality industry.
Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients at all levels.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, including cold calling, prospecting, selling services over the phone and in person to businesses throughout the region.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Knowledge of the Okanagan region and its key industries, events, and potential clients is a plus.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the region as needed.
