Inside Sales Representative; Technical Sales
A division of Innovair Solutions, Hazloc Heaters is a global supplier and manufacturer of industrial and explosion-proof unit heaters, thermostats and disconnect switches for hazardous and severe-duty locations.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual that is interested in playing a significant role in serving our customers. We want someone with enthusiasm and confidence and the drive to put the customer first. You must be willing to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done. We are more interested in performance and commitment than hierarchy and strict corporate guidelines. Based out of our Northeast Calgary office/factory, the successful candidate will:
· Perform heat loss calculations and recommend heater models and sizes.
· Assist with heater design layout.
· Respond to oral and written RFQ’s or pricing enquiries.
· Track and follow up on all quotations & proposals until disposition.
· Maintain files of open and closed quotes.
· Initiate the Sales Order Entry & credit application process.
· Coordinate order requirements with production department to establish accurate shipping date estimate.
· Assist in following up on sales leads generated by outside sales force and where applicable, referring customers to agents.
· Maintain good customer relations by means of telephone and sales techniques.
· Assist in answering general incoming telephone calls.
· Assist customers requiring technical support, troubleshooting, and replacement parts.
· Create and manage RMAs for returned goods and/or heaters to be repaired.
· Review literature of competitors & become familiar with their products.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 level. College technical diploma in a related field would be an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of inside sales experience in the oil and gas industry selling technical products.
- Excellent technical knowledge related to electrical / mechanical products.
- Experience selling hazardous location equipment would be an asset.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills.
- Excellent PC skills using MS office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Personable, outgoing, positive.
- This position requires the candidate to work at our N.E. Calgary office/factory, not remotely.
We provide a pleasant, comfortable, non-smoking work environment. Compensation will include a base salary + year-end bonus (based on company profitability) and health benefits.
