JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Sales Enablement is a strategic leader responsible for aligning the commercial enablement priorities that drive measurable outcomes with overall business goals. This position will lead the design, development and implementation of commercial sales enablement strategies and programs that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Commercial team as well as other client facing roles across the company. This position is a strategic partner to sales leadership working closely across sales, marketing, product, pricing and operations to ensure alignment with the company’s business objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The accountabilities listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales enablement strategy that aligns with business objectives and drives revenue growth.
- Build strong cross functional and collaborative relationships with sales, marketing, product, pricing and operational leadership to ensure initiatives are fully integrated across the broader business strategy.
- Leads initiatives that directly support the Go to Market business.
- Oversees the design, development and implementation of sales enablement programs including onboarding, training, sales coaching and staff development.
- Equips the sales team with the knowledge, skills and training to meet business growth and revenue targets.
- Establishes metrics to measure the effectiveness of sales enablement programs and continuously assesses and updates to meet changing business needs.
- Works closely with Client Engagement to create relevant content for lead generation.
- Collaborates with product management to stay updated on product roadmaps and upcoming releases.
- Conducts market research to inform strategies and enable sale team to position products and services effectively.
- Works with Chief Growth Officer to advance the skill sets of sales teams to meet new market challenges and demands.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
- Bachelor’s Degree Required. Advanced degree Preferred.
- Sales training and Sales enablement systems certifications desired.
- 5+ years’ experience in sales enablement/training with proven track record of driving sales performance through global strategic enablement initiatives.
- Experience creating onboarding and development programs that drive tangible business results.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to inspire, motivate and develop high performing teams.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate high-level business goals into actionable enablement strategies with measurable outcomes.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, to influence and build consensus among senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Tech savvy in creating programs and platforms to develop, train and measure outcomes- this would include Salesforce proficiency as well as other sales enablement software.
- Innovative thought leader who challenges self and others to think out of the box with a bias for action.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 10% - 20%
