About this Position
- Title: Sr. Account Executive
- Location: DC Metro Area
- Compensation: Base Salary + Commission (uncapped)
- Solution Experience: IaaS, Security, DR, Hosting, Co-location
- Sales Experience: 5 + years technology solution sales
- Target Market: Commercial, State/Federal Government
Responsibilities:
The Sr. Account Executive will be responsible for driving new business development within enterprise accounts and Federal agencies selling cloud, infrastructure, and data center solutions.
- Pursue inbound leads to identify needs and position the right solution
- Manage an in-depth discovery process to qualify sales leads and opportunities
- Drive complex consultative sales process from lead to close
- Design high-level technical solutions using Visio and other tools
- Diagnose customer pains and needs and present solutions
- Support technical teams in the development of proposals and RFP responses
- Use Salesforce.com to track sales activities and manage the sales pipeline
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to discuss technical solutions and services at a high level
- Knowledge of cloud service vendors like Amazon, Rackspace, Microsoft, and VMWare
- Disciplined, self-starter, detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience selling technology solutions
- Deep technical aptitude with ability to design technical solutions
- Previous experience as a sales engineer a plus
