To effectively handle and process sales enquiries from customers in the form of phone calls, emails and website enquiries.
Key Responsibilities
Selling products to customers, including both businesses and individuals. Effectively handle sales enquiries for new and existing customers.
Key Relationships
Must maintain close relationships with clients & BATT internal & external teams in the USA and across the business.
Person Requirements
1. Sales:
Handle sales opportunities from new and existing customers, following up on any enquiries which are submitted via email or the website.
Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and requirements, identifying any further opportunities for sales.
Answer customers’ questions, resolving any concerns and provide additional information via calls or emails.
Contribute to a motivating work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and high performance.
2. Product Knowledge:
Explaining the features of different products to the customer, ensuring they are fully aware of the item(s) they are purchasing
Maintain and improve the customer database, adding information on any new leads
Keep up to date with product information and any competitor offers
Taking opportunities to upsell products when possible
Identify opportunities to optimise sales performance and achieve/exceed targets.
Provide timely feedback or insights to the team, addressing any customer issues or challenges.
3. Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, enhance the sales and customer experience within the branch.
Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring branch sales targets are achieved.
Build and maintain a strong relationships within the sales team.
5. Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare regular sales reports, customer information or any adhoc reports for the Office Manager.
Provide insights and recommendations based on sales data to support decision making.
Demonstrate expertise
· Previous experience as a Sales Representative or similar role
· Experience working with telephones and handling multiple calls/emails daily
· Excellent customer service skills
· Patience, time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
· Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills
· Is able to create customer relationships through a combination of personality and professionalism.
· Excellent numeracy skills for accurate and speedy calculation of sales prices, discounts and percentages
· A knowledge and experience of the electrical distribution industry/building/construction industry is preferred.
· Experience of using a CRM system
Person Specification
Experience & Skills (minimum needs to be able to undertake the role):
· At least 1 years’ experience within Sales or Customer Service
· Working knowledge of CRM systems
· Experience of achieving sales targets and meeting business goals
· Skilled in the use of Excel, Word and Powerpoint
· Fluent in English and if possible Spanish

Pay: $57,000.00 per year
