Overview:
The Business Development Manager at ServiceChannel plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of our sales development team. This mid-level management position is crucial for leading a growing team of BDRs to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets. The BDR Manager will develop and execute outbound sales strategies while expanding the team. Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of BDRs[AC1] ensuring they meet and exceed sales targets. Provide ongoing coaching through one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and skill development sessions.
- Performance Management: Set and monitor BDR performance metrics, including calls, emails, meetings booked, and lead generation. Use data-driven analysis to identify areas of improvement and optimize team performance.
- Strategy Development: Work closely with the Head of Sales Enablement and Sales Leaders to refine outbound sales strategies, ensuring alignment with the company’s broader goals. Lead efforts to develop scripts, messaging, and outreach tactics tailored to our target verticals.
- Training and Development: Oversee the onboarding of new BDRs, delivering training on product knowledge, sales techniques, and effective use of sales tools like HubSpot and Clay. Continuously assess and enhance the team's skills to maintain competitiveness.
- Process Execution: Ensure adherence to sales processes, optimizing workflows, and improving the efficiency of CRM and sales engagement tools. Facilitate smooth handoffs between BDRs and Account Executives for seamless progression through the sales funnel.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including marketing and operations, to align on lead generation strategies and refine outreach tactics based on market and industry trends.
- Technology Expertise: Be the technical go-to leader, leveraging advanced sales tools to drive performance, including being a Certified Clay Expert[AC2] .
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 12 months of B2B Enterprise SaaS sales experience, preferably in a technical product or AI-driven environment.
- Leadership: Proven track record in scaling and managing an BDR team
- Technology Proficiency: Must be a Certified Clay Expert with deep experience using tools like ZoomInfo, Sales Navigator or similar sales prospecting platforms.
- Sales Process Expertise: Ability to craft and maintain sales cadences that drive consistent success across the team.
- Data-Driven Mindset: Strong analytical skills with a focus on using data to monitor performance and optimize team efficiency.
- Growth Mindset: Passionate about achieving ambitious goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the team.
