Position Overview:
K&K Industries is seeking a results-driven, independent, and technically skilled Technical Sales Representative to play a critical role in our future expansion by driving growth in the aerospace, medical, automotive, and metal fabrication sectors. With a focus on building strong customer relationships, the Technical Sales Representative will align client needs with our innovative machining solutions, contributing directly to our strategic vision of industry leadership and broad market penetration in advanced manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive new business and maintain relationships with clients, focusing on their specific technical needs.
- Demonstrate company capabilities through in person and on-site meetings as well as through virtual presentations. Collaborate with our engineering team for customized solutions that meet customer expectations.
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets while providing excellent post-sales support.
- Quote RFQs
Qualifications:
- Education: No formal education requirements but must have the competence within industry and technical knowledge required for the role.
- Technical Sales Experience: Minimum 5 years in sales within CNC Custom or Production Machining, Tool & Die, Mold Making, or Automated Machinery and have a proven track record in relationship-building and sales growth.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in CNC Custom or Production Machining, CAD/CAM technologies, Tool & Die processes, or Automated Machinery enabling technical discussions with clients.
- Quoting: Must be proficient at quoting jobs including all material and processes.
- Digital and Research Skills: Strong internet research capabilities and a high level of digital skills, including CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital communication tools.
- Self-Driven and Collaborative: Ability to work independently, set goals, and manage time efficiently, while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot client issues, customizing solutions for complex manufacturing needs.
- Strong Communication: Ability to understand customer’s needs while effectively communicating those to internal teams.
- Positive Attitude: Love the job, love working with customers and staying positive in the face of adversity.
- Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings, trade shows, and site visits, as needed.
- Office Requirements: This is an in-office position with frequent traveling to meet with customers.
- Social Media: Actively promote the company products and services on all social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook, etc
- Trade Shows: Participate in relevant trade shows & association groups to help grow our presence and to expand our customer base.
