Reporting to the VP, IT Business Analysis, this position identifies opportunities for improvement in systems and processes, translating requirements to technical deliverables and aligning priorities with business and technology professionals to facilitate successful project delivery. This role collaborates with stakeholders to refine IT business objectives and obtains requirements to support project alignment.
Additionally, this position supports projects and initiatives by analyzing business requirements, identifying technology needs and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This position serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and the IT department, ensuring that technology solutions meet business needs and drive efficiency.
What you will do for Fay:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and articulate information, process needs and challenges.
- Translate and refine business needs into functional specifications and technical requirements, including process flow, business case, features list, use case and templates
- Conduct gap analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements
- Solicit and analyze project requirements using interviews, workshops and data analysis; conduct data and process analysis on an ongoing and ad hoc basis
- Assist in the testing and validation of solutions to ensure business objectives are met
- Partner with leadership to establish and engineer technology requirements as defined
- Manage product backlogs in Azure DevOps, or a similar platform, including the build-out of user stories and attend agile scrum meetings
- Deploy and audit user acceptance testing as required
- Assist with overall BA efficiency through continuous learning and process improvement
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions
- Develop domain knowledge of Fay’s business to include an understanding of organizational objectives
- Ensure compliance with Fay’s policies, processes, and practices
- Model Fay’s Values, Operating Principles, ethical standards, professionalism and code of conduct
- Demonstrate behaviors that align with Fay's Values and Operating Principles
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
What you will bring to Fay:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (or equivalent combination of years of experience with High School diploma/ GED) required
- 3+ years’ experience as an IT Business Analyst or Systems Analyst
- 3+ years’ experience learning and translating business process needs including requirements elicitation, backlog management, creating process flows, features list, use cases and user stories
- 3+ years’ experience with data analysis including basic SQL, interpreting results to validate business data needs and troubleshooting
- Previous experience working in an agile scrum environment with solution design teams preferred
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to identify opportunities and propose solutions
