Job Description
Blue Star Gas (BSG), an 85-yr. old propane, equipment, and appliance company, has an immediate opening for a full-time Power Division Inside Sales Representative to help grow our business through the Blue Star Gas coverage area. Our sales executive will manage all stages of the sales process with a focus on exceeding customer needs and company growth targets for the Blue Star Power Generation (BSPG) division. As part of BSPG this position will be part of a progressive team offering innovative solutions and exemplary service to power homes and businesses. This sales professional will focus on the continued growth of our power technologies. BSPG provides products that offer resiliency and independence. Our solutions address grid instability caused by wildfires, blackouts, and public safety power shutoffs as well as the commercial, off-grid, or other needs for power generation throughout the area.
Your typical duties:
· Assessing and routing generator leads to the appropriate team members.
· Providing customer-facing support throughout the generator sales process.
· Reviewing and confirming proper setup of generator customer accounts.
· Supporting remote-permitting process where possible.
· Providing progressive billing support for generator sales process.
· Any other power-related customer and internal support needs.
Skills and qualifications:
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
· Excellent computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite of products are required.
· Demonstrated ability to learn proprietary software systems is required.
· Ability to travel for training or support in other markets as needed (20 percent est.) is required.
· Two years of demonstrated success and sales experience selling generators, engines, solar, propane, HVAC, or related equipment is highly desired.
· Experience in General building, electrical, and generators strongly advised
· Bachelor’s degree and/or formal sales training is desired.
· Demonstrated experience in developing proposals, presenting, and conducting product demonstrations is desired.
· Customer Relationship Management software experience is desired.
Blue Star Gas also provides propane gas sales and service. Plus, we sell, install, and service a variety of other gas appliances that operate on propane. The candidate will be expected to obtain a working knowledge of propane service and appliances/equipment offered to indirectly support these segments as well.
The candidate will have access to the latest products, technology, and resources in the industry and must maintain the highest level of ethical business standards and customer service practices. He or she must be a highly motivated results driven professional who is well organized with strong follow-up skills.
