VanderHyde Mechanical, a family-owned business located on the Northwest side of Grand Rapids, is looking for a motivated and knowledgeable HVAC Sales representative!
The HVAC Sales Representative plays a key role in generating new customer leads and fostering strong relationships with both potential and existing clients. This position involves recommending heating, ventilation, and air conditioning products tailored to customer needs. Your responsibilities also include supporting HVAC specialists in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment. This support entails reaching out to customers, visiting the client's home, providing quotes for recommended services, and preparing proposals and contracts to facilitate the sale and other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
- In-depth understanding of HVAC equipment, products, and services, enabling effective communication of features and benefits to customers.
- Proficient in both verbal and written communication with clients and colleagues.
- Capable of preparing pricing and terms for sales agreements.
- Skilled in maintaining and developing customer relationships to foster loyalty and encourage repeat business.
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project execution.
- More than 2 years of HVAC experience required.
- At least 5 years of sales experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
- Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check is required.
