Position Summary
The Inside Sales Representative at Salit Metals WNY will be responsible for providing customer service to internal and external customers while supporting the operations team and the sales department.
Position Functions
- Cover front desk, answer phones, greet visitors
- Become fluent in our ERP software.
- Answer phones for incoming calls, place calls to customers as needed
- Provide customer service to walk in retail customers
- Assist with customer service related activity
- Assist in coordinating incoming delivery schedules from vendors
- Participate in taking orders from customers
- Participate in administrative receiving functions, to include scanning and filing of documents
- Upload purchase orders and/or contracts into shared drive
- Responsible for maintenance and updates to open purchase order report
- Open and Close daily cash box and maintain accurate reporting
- Maintain accurate daily cashout sheet
- Assist in inventory reconciliation
- Maintain record storage to comply with government agencies (ie. DOT’s, IRS, etc)
- Schedule outbound trucking as needed
- Handle all shipping paperwork to customers
- Run reports on inventory as required for accuracy and planning
- Run reports to assist in budgeting and sales
- Sales support: Identify and assist in closing open orders
- Support Operations team in maintaining contact with outside vendors and contractors
- Learn to manage larger projects as customer relationships are built and industry knowledge is gained
- Reviews contracts for respective projects for pricing and invoicing procedures
- Flex into warehouse when needed
- Other warehouse duties as assigned
- Other administrative duties as assigned
Working Conditions
The successful incumbent will be working Monday through Friday 40+ hours per week

Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 4-year degree from an accredited university preferred but not required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar type role
- Some project management experience preferred but not required
- Strong working knowledge of software systems, including all Google Suite products (gmail, docs, sheets, drive, etc.)

- Ability to keep up with a fast paced environment; possess the flexibility and ability to change.
- Ability to occasionally work extra hours as business requires

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
