Are you an experienced and driven professional looking to join the ALH Building Systems team as a Sales & Business Development Manager in Markle, IN, US? We are a leading manufacturer of structural wood framing components, offering solutions for a diverse range of projects. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to drive sales, develop business strategies, and oversee project success through the cultivation of strong client and on-site team relationships. This role requires effective communication with colleagues, construction firms, and skilled laborers at all phases of construction. We are in search of a proactive candidate with a solid background in construction sales and project management.
Compensation:$50,000 - $65,000 yearly
Responsibilities:- Develop and execute strategic plans to source and secure new leads, expand the customer base, and achieve sales targets
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients by providing consistent, high-quality service and support
- Conduct in-office and field meetings with potential and existing customers to discuss their framing needs and propose tailored solutions
- Collaborate with framing crews and other key stakeholders to monitor project progress, address any issues, and ensure completion within the set timelines and budget
- Understand industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies and business decisions
- Work closely with the design and estimating teams to ensure accurate project proposals, quotes, and contracts
- Provide leadership and direction to the sales team, setting clear goals and performance metrics to drive accountability and results
- A bachelor's degree in business, construction management, or a related field
- Experience in sales within the construction industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Strong understanding of wood framing construction processes, materials, and market requirements
- Wood Species Identification: Recognizing different species of wood and understanding their unique characteristics and typical uses
- Measurement and Dimensions: Proficiency in measuring lumber, including knowledge of board feet, linear feet, thickness, width, and length
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build rapport with clients and team members
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and site visits
