POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
We are looking for a candidate with great attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and data entry skills. This individual can work well with others and enjoys working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining sales orders, purchase orders, and accounting information into the company’s database on a timely basis. You will be part of the operations team and will report to the Director of Operations. This position is based in the office at our Wichita, KS, location.

WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE FOR A SALES REPRESENTATIVE AT OPEN ROAD BRANDS:

• Ensure customer orders are entered timely and accurately.
• Review and maintain email accounts for new customer orders or customer order changes.
• Place purchase orders with external factories and internal manufacturing operations for goods needed.
• Contact customers regarding delayed shipments.
• Invoice customer orders upon shipment of goods.
• Setup and maintain customer records in NetSuite ((payment terms, shipping terms, agreed upon discounts, sales rep, channels, shipping accounts)
• Onboard new customers (payment terms, sales tax exemption certificates, vendor guides, credit reports, etc.)
• Identify customer shipping requirements and document them in NetSuite (i.e., packaging, labeling, shipping requirements)
• For certain customers, identify and relay packaging, labeling, and shipping requirements to warehouse and manufacturing operations (maintain project ID for non-strategic customer programs)
• Customer contact regarding packaging, labeling, shipping requirements, or any other customer requirement.
• Communicate with customers regarding packaging, labeling, and shipping requirements.
• Validate customer payment deductions in accordance with customer agreements.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

• Proven experience as a Data Entry Specialist or similar role.
• Detail, process, and quality-oriented with a focus on thoroughness and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
• Proficient in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with data entry techniques and best practices.

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficient in using data entry software, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Organizational and time management with the ability to independently manage and prioritize workload.
• Basic knowledge of data management and data quality principles.
• Fast and accurate data entry skills with 99% accuracy.
