Job Overview

We are seeking a results-oriented and proactive business development manager to join our team. As a BDM, you build sales leads, pitch to new prospects and develop a client list for the company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, building strong relationships with potential clients, and driving business growth. As the company's public face, you convey professionalism to prospects and potential clients. You will collaborate with internal teams to understand the company’s offerings and align strategies to target key markets and industries.


Key Responsibilities

  • Opportunity identification. Research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, and trends.
  • Client relationship management. Build strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring their business needs are met and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Strategic planning. Develop and implement strategic plans to increase revenue, expand market presence, and achieve business goals.
  • Market research. Conduct thorough market analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and identify potential areas for business growth.
  • Sales strategy. Work closely with the management team to develop and execute strategies that drive business development and achieve sales targets.
  • Partnership development. Identify and cultivate partnerships with other companies to expand the company’s reach and capabilities.
  • Reporting and analysis. Regularly review and report on business development activities, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a business development manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, business strategy, and client relationship management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on building long-term partnerships.
  • Ability to develop and execute business strategies that align with company goals.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
  • A degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred skills

  • Experience in developing strategic partnerships and alliances.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific tools and platforms.
