Valve Teck, Inc. is a Memphis, TN based valve manufacturer is looking for a mechanically-inclined, self-starter to handle technical inside sales / customer service for valves, actuators and accessories.

Job Title:

  • Technical Sales Representative
  • Business Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM - Monday to Friday

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Interacting with customers, utilizing mature and professional etiquette over the phone or through email, providing the technical customer service and support needed to generate and close sales
  • Assist customers in identifying what products they need
  • Receive and review customer inquiries, requests, and correspondences
  • Gather necessary information and data for processing sales orders and quotes generated through phone and/or email transactions
  • Investigating and resolving customer problem and concerns
  • Research inventory items for customer orders
  • Maintain files of required records and documents received, sent and associated with sales orders
  • Additional responsibilities may appear depending on the workflow for the day – i.e. (Entering purchase orders, answering the door for customers in will call, re-organizing / keeping work area clean, etc.)

Required Skills:

  • Strong interest in technical sales
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to make a significant connection with a diverse array of customers over the phone
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel in addition to basic computer skills
  • Ability to multitask and detail orientated
  • Effective communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Willing to learn and possess a determination and drive to succeed
  • Must be flexible in regards to work flow - i.e. (Understanding which tasks take priority over others)
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude amidst adversity

Note: Inside Salesperson must be clean cut, drug free, and have a clean driving record
