About Us

Privato and Woodward Cider Co are family-owned and run businesses located in the heart of British Columbia's Thompson Valley wine region. We specialize in the production of traditional Burgundian and Bordeaux-styled wine, as well as craft cider. We are looking to expand our brand portfolio and level of execution in our home market, and we are seeking a highly-motivated individual to join our team.

Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Territory Manager to grow with us. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for developing effective sales strategies to meet or exceed targets for the Kamloops and outlying areas. You will be coordinating sales activities, managing customers, entering orders, conducting store tastings, while reporting directly to ownership. Your exceptional organizational skills, customer-centric approach, and strategic mindset will be vital in driving sales growth and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage our incredible customers and help grow our brands into more locations in the territory.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets and achieve KPI’s.
  • You will collaborate with the sales team and management to identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Coordinate sales activities by maintaining communication with the sales team and customers and ensuring timely order processing.
  • Develop and follow 4-6 week route, email and calling plan to maximize efficient coverage of territory and report plan and results accordingly.
  • Maximize opportunities across all channels amplifying brand sales in top selling stores, focus on multiple points of distribution, in store merchandising and shelf placements.
  • Conduct store tastings and product demonstrations to promote our premium wines and ciders, engaging consumers and showcasing the unique features and flavors of our products.
  • Engage customers through tours of our production facilities, vineyard and orchard and event gardens.
  • Process all customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper documentation and timely order fulfillment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including restaurants, bars, hotels, and retail outlets, to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing customer inquiries, resolving any issues or concerns, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, including customer profiles, order history, and sales reports, utilizing sales management software and tools.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to effectively position our products in the marketplace.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to support sales efforts, including participating in promotional events, trade shows, and tastings.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in outside sales representation or similar roles, preferably in the wine, alcohol beverage and hospitality industry.
  • Strong communication and proven customer service experience.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for wines and ciders, including production methods, varietals, and flavor profiles.
  • Experience in conducting store tastings and product demonstrations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage customers and provide exceptional service.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and KPI’s.
  • Proficiency in using sales management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to conduct store tastings and attend events outside of regular business hours.
  • Ability to lift 1 case of wine, or 2 cases of Cider cans regularly.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Base salary plus monthly KPI-based bonus, car allowance and benefits commensurate with experience. Business related expenses are also covered.
