Job Description

Our client, a leading industrial manufacturing business in Houston, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team as they embark on an exciting scaling project. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving new business growth, identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships, and expanding the client's customer base within the local and regional markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to identify and secure new clients and revenue streams for the client's business
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential growth opportunities within the client's industry
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, industry influencers, and potential partners on behalf of the client
  • Collaborate with the client's sales, marketing, and operations teams to align business development efforts and ensure seamless customer experiences
  • Negotiate and close complex deals, contracts, and partnership agreements on the client's behalf
  • Continuously monitor and report on business development KPIs, pipeline, and performance for the client
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the client's leadership team on market expansion, product/service diversification, and other growth initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the industrial/manufacturing sector
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities on behalf of clients
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with the Houston business landscape and industry networks
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Willingness to travel within the region as needed
