Job Description

Oracle GDI - Government Defense & Intelligence is looking for a Senior Cloud Account Executive to be responsible for Government accounts with a focus on the US Federal Intelligence Community and Defense Accounts.

This is a HYBRID position with a preference for a candidate based in the Maryland/ DC Metropolitan Area.

About the opportunity (What you will do)

This role will be responsible for selling Oracle Cloud services to the Oracle Cyber Intelligence portfolio of accounts.is role will own building and executing a growth plan to increase cloud adoption YoY in the appropriate government cloud regions applicable to these customers. Primary job duty is to serve as a client advocate for your customer enabling the ability to identify, qualify and capture Oracle Cloud opportunities. This role will also be responsible for managing your territory through the entire sales process, to include business development, prospecting, contract negotiations, and post-sales support. This role will leverage the Oracle sales model to maximize revenue growth and increase local market share. This role will also be working with a cross functional team that includes, capture and business development, software, consulting, and hardware.

In this role, you will understand and be responsible for providing Oracle IaaS and PaaS solutions to mission critical problems. Primary job duty is to serve as a client advocate for your customer and to identify, qualify and capture Oracle Cloud opportunities. You will also be responsible to manage your territory including the entire sales process, to include business development, prospecting, contract negotiations, and post-sales client satisfaction.

Your success in this role will mean you are able to leverage the Oracle sales model to maximize revenue growth and increase local market share. The successful candidate will build and expand business partner and system integrator relationships and help identify mutual benefits from the partnership. You will work with a cross functional team that includes capture and business development, software, consulting, and hardware.

What you will bring (requirements)

  • 10+ years field sales experience including technology sales experience, or other applicable experience is required, as is the ability to forecast, manage sales expenses, and successfully close new Oracle business.
  • Business development, prospecting and presentation skills, excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • Candidates for consideration will bring a proven track record of exceeding sales quota and territory/account development and will have experience as the focal point for clients for all sales and related issues.
  • Oracle knowledge and/or knowledge of Oracle’s competitors is helpful. Must have ability and willingness to rapidly learn Oracle Cloud technology.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI eligibility with poly required
