Automotive is a highly strategic business at Micron and in the Embedded Business Unit. EBU is a fast-growing business unit passionate about serving automotive customers. In this role, you will support automotive specific initiatives and go to market strategies for our Automotive strategic vision.

This includes driving application specific strategies and value propositions to enable Sales and Business Development teams in driving growth and maintaining Micron’s number one market share position!

The automotive application segment includes a focus on key applications including ADAS / AD, In Vehicle Experience, Driver Monitoring Systems, Dashboard, Gateways, Telematics, Powertrain, and other sub-segments.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Drive targeted application understanding, size market opportunities, deploy communication strategies and collateral to increase thought leadership in Automotive IVI, ADAS and telematics sub systems.
  • Ownership of applications working group and application specific environmental scan and Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies.
  • Driving global strategic projects in support of key strategy execution.
  • Collaborate multi-functionally to drive the MRD process.
  • Business development for emerging direct buy CSVs
  • Work closely with FAE, PLM, quality, and ecosystem teams to ensure strategy execution.
  • Representation in PLM core team meetings for ensuring segment inputs/approvals in PLM decisions.
  • Build business/technical outbound collateral that help our FAE’s and sales teams to outsell the competition – facilitate CTM engagements with key focus on developing application specific positioning.
  • Collaborate with marcom teams for Micron’s Automotive marketing campaigns and other industry events to drive brand awareness and promote Micron leadership.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering with minimum 5 years’ experience in one of the following roles: Business Development Manager, Product Marketing Manager, Technical Sales, Technical Marketing Engineer, Systems/Applications Engineer, Market Research Engineer, or related occupation.
  • You have in deep understanding and knowledge of the automotive market from market dynamics, customers (OEMs, Tier 1s), business and technology trends in focus applications..
  • Develop sophisticated technical and business strategies on technical/business problems with limited direction.
  • Proficient in data analysis to drive market model, assessment of business opportunities, and rationalization of revenue plans based on top down vs. bottoms up analysis.
  • Have worked in a matrixed organization and can optimally influence multiple levels of sales, field, and business unit marketing organization.
  • A positive demeanour with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze marketing data and understand macro and micro industry trends and drive decisions based on this analysis.
  • Ability to understand technical/architectural requirements, with the ability to conduct a first level of application and system architecture specific dialog with customers.
  • Develop effective presentations, and collateral intended for both internal and external audiences.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$113,000.00 - $246,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
