Job Description

Under the direction of the Front End Business Manager, the Inside Sales Manager is responsible to lead a team of around 10 Estimators and Inside Sales Specialists with a goal of securing a top line revenue and bottom line margin.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for delivering estimating and closing levels (volume and margin) to support business and financials objectives.
  • Leadership for the around 10 employees that make-up the Order Pursuit Team.
  • Matrix leadership responsibility for the Order Pursuit teams in other front-end locations.
  • One of three members of the Front End Lead Team at the location. The lead team is responsible for developing strategy, executing against current plan, and developing talent within the organization
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies to meet profitability targets.
  • Manage order pursuit activities by balancing capacity and demand of estimating, and application engineering teams.
  • Lead Daily Management process for Order Pursuit team.
  • Attend the weekly Regional Sales order pursuit calls and offer leadership and support where required.
  • Collect and analyze data to indentify trends in the market place.
  • Develop and implement order pursuit strategies based on data analysis.
  • Provide training, tools and resources to grow talent and further develop specialized technical skills
  • Conduct project assessments by evaluating Project Details (schedule, size, complexity) and Customers (credit limit / risk, experience).
  • Consult customers with budgets and direction on pipeline projects (early development).
  • Develop, implement and maintain standardized estimating tools.
  • Track all estimates starting from the preliminary proposal, budgets, estimates, active and order booking stages and provide weekly reports indicating results or activity.

Essential Knowledge & Skills

  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office
  • Proven ability to influence individuals and teams, and to drive change initiatives with diverse/disparate groups
  • Must be self-motivated, people-oriented, service-oriented and possess the ability to work with and lead others
  • Adept at problem identification and resolution, strategy development and deployment, and conflict resolution
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze, consolidate and collate information from multiple sources
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution
  • 5-10 Years’ Experience in Construction and architectural systems industry
  • 5-10 Years’ experience in multiple functions of this industry like drafting, design, estimating, project management etc.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 Years’ experience in Construction and architectural systems industry
  • Minimum 8 Years’ experience in multiple functions of this industry like drafting, design, estimating, project management etc.
  • Customer relations, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Employee and vendor management skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of architectural systems, preferably Kawneer products.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the bidding process for key stakeholders: Architects, Owners, GCs, and Dealers.
  • Technical and software skills.
  • Demonstrated competency in delivering results in an accurate and timely manner in a matrix environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
