The Role


The role of the Senior Manager is to lead and drive technology inputs for sales pursuits and implementations of workforce solutions. This role will take accountability for preparing outsourcing RFP responses that relate to technology, collateral for sales pursuits, as well as leading technology components of workforce solution (RPO and CWS) pursuits and implementation programs. Throughout the pursuit and implementation of a new client, this role will provide input, identify opportunities for creative solutions that address a client’s desired outcomes, and provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) across all aspects of the talent technology ecosystem. They will support the Head of Technology Advisory Leaders in representing Advisory capabilities to prospects and collaborate closely with the Growth and Service Development teams to ensure the solution is differentiated and aligned to the desired outcomes of the prospect.

The Senior Manager reports to the Head of Technology and Analytics Sales Enablement and will engage with client, technology partner, and internal stakeholders from Analyst to Managing Director levels.


Performance, Outcomes & Accountabilities


Delivery

  • Recommend and scope technologies that will be enabled in outsourcing programs. Accurate project scoping, pricing, and documented scope (measured by performance against budget)
  • Delivery of technology workstream of outsourcing implementations to scope, time, and budget for clients within remit (measured by project margin, timeline accuracy, and hours against budget)
  • Develop and design technology architecture documentation in the sales and implementation phases, collating input from various SME team members
  • Lead continuous improvement, development, and engagement initiatives across the practice (measured by feedback and engagement scores)

Team Leadership

  • Driving knowledge and awareness of industry trends (measured by feedback and specific activities/knowledge upskilling to broader pursuit and implementation team)
  • Track and record time, achieving a utilization target of at least 65% (non-supervisory without direct reports) 60% (supervisor with direct reports)
  • Voluntary attrition kept below annual target

Relationships

  • Maintain 100% positive satisfaction from client, prospect, partner, and internal stakeholders (gathered via feedback)

Growth

  • Identifies and leads multiple opportunities for cross selling or upselling (target established each year based upon COE budget)
  • Supports new client pursuits and accountable for contributing to the established win rate for the year and region


Key Responsibilities


Delivery

  • Owns delivery of talent technology workstream in outsourcing (RPO) programs, including project management of both third party and internal technologies being deployed
  • Accountable to deliver complex technology implementation, optimization, diagnostic, and technology strategy projects, including (but not limited to): project management, technology enabled process design, functional and technical design, business requirements, test planning, data migration strategy, test planning, hypercare strategy, and knowledge transfer
  • Lead technology workstream on diagnostics and outsourcing engagements. This will include developing findings and recommendations, performing market reviews, and creating project plans
  • Create and lead talent technology strategy and design workshops
  • Partner with AMS colleagues and clients on outsourcing solutions to ensure successful implementation of technology enabling outsourcing recruitment services
  • Prepares and presents design playback and recommendations with key senior client stakeholders and technology vendor partners
  • Able to advise on both functional and technical integration capabilities of custom and bespoke solutions
  • Owns, designs, and drives technology partner, client program, and project relationships and governance
  • Briefs and manages technology workstream project resources; sets expectations and coaches resources on deliverables
  • Takes accountability to document risks, issues, actions, and decisions and partners with clients, technology partners, and internal stakeholders to mitigate risks and resolve issues
  • Accountable for sub-contractor or other external partnerships within remit

Team Leadership

  • Effective communication of AMS’ technology and analytics strategy to prospective and current outsourcing clients
  • Develop and mentor AMS talent for the future through robust hiring, driving performance management and continuous improvement, and by creating an inclusive and engaging workplace culture
  • Leadership of managers and individuals in direct reporting line or supporting projects.
  • Conducts resource management, capacity planning, and forecasting - ensuring all team members are maintaining project status updates and forecasting
  • Accountable for issue resolution, supporting Managers and Consultants to resolve at the appropriate level

Relationships

  • Build strong and influential trusted partner relationships with identified senior client and technology partner stakeholders (director/VP level or above)
  • Create and work with team members to document standard procedures and ways of working, taking accountability for technology toolkits and templates that are used in the pursuit and implementation processes

Growth

  • Lead technology and analytics component of mid-size sales pursuits, acting as the subject matter expert, bringing to life credentials, capabilities, case studies, and solutions that are aligned to the scope of the outsourcing engagement
  • Support the Head of Technology Sales Enablement and the growth teams in building marketing and sales content specific to technology.
  • Creates, reviews, understands, and applies contractual documentation
  • Outlines all activities, timelines, resource requirements, and costs as well as writes technology and analytics content that goes into proposals and presentations
  • Accountable for accurate project and workstream pricing and forecasting and developing other team members on their commercial acumen and management to scope


Critical Knowledge, Skills and Experience


  • Experience working with RPO and/or CWS services
  • Proven track record in scoping, designing, and delivering talent technology programs within RPO or CWS programs
  • Experience leading talent technology implementations, transformations, outsourcing (RPO), or change projects as part of a consulting or outsourced professional service engagement
  • Experience preparing responses for Requests for Proposals and producing sales collateral
  • Strong working knowledge of the talent acquisition technology landscape and talent acquisition services, including knowledge of future trends in our industry (such as robotics and artificial intelligence)## Management of others through a matrixed environment and using subject matter experts as appropriate to deliver projects
  • Experience in leading projects or key project workstreams using more than one project delivery methodology and leveraging tools that include Microsoft Project, Visio, Teams, Smartsheet, and JIRA (or equivalent)
  • Ability to direct others as well as self in working to tight deadlines, supporting multiple deliverables and activities at any point in time
  • Ability to accurately forecast a wide range of projects on the basis of NFI, resource allocation, and timelines
  • Ability to influence and obtain agreement on key technology decisions with senior leaders across multiple functional areas

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience


  • Understanding of legislation affecting area of work (e.g. GDPR, compliance elements for contractors, EEO, etc.)
  • Demonstrated capability to manage a P&L
  • Deep knowledge of multiple talent acquisition technologies
