Job Description
VanZandt Controls and Eagle Automation is looking for an Outside Sales Representative for our Texas Panhandle and surrounding areas. If you have an excellent customer service mentality, then this position is perfect for you. To succeed as an Outside Sales Representative, you should be polite and prompt with a commitment to providing our clients with an excellent experience. You should be thorough in selling our products, meeting our customer's needs, ensuring orders are properly fulfilled, committed to work safety, and passionate about satisfying clients. This sales role will allow the candidate to leverage VZ Controls and Eagle Automation's differentiated business model to rapidly grow sales in the Texas Panhandle. The Outside Sales Representative will report to our Canyon, TX office but can live anywhere in the territory.
Responsibilities
The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for leading sales efforts, business development, strengthening relationships and securing new business for the Company. The candidate must be able to articulate to both business and technical users how our technology, products and services can best meet our customers' needs. The Outside Sales Representative must also be able to draft quotes and proposals to help win business for the Company.
Additional responsibilities would include utilizing the Eagle ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system and Contact Relationship Management (CRM) systems effectively to track leads, produce quotes, and convert quotes to sales orders. The position would require frequent open communication with the VP of Sales, Operations Manager, inside sales, and the rest of the Eagle team. The candidate sought would excel in a fast-paced environment, be able to quickly learn the technical nature of our product portfolio, stay organized, and understand the needs of our rapidly growing customer base.

Job Duties:
- Create customer quotes and sales orders for our product and services offerings (Inside Sales support staff available for support)
- Prospect, develop, strengthen, and maintain Valve Automation, Flow Measurement and Instrumentation customers
- Work closely with the senior management team to manage and develop relationships with target customers
- Utilize ERP and CRM systems to maintain communication records, create quotes and sales orders
- Manage and execute key sales initiatives and ensure customer satisfaction
- Learn and incorporate new products, service capabilities, sales tactics, tools, and processes
- Ensure customer satisfaction
- Assist in marketing efforts
- Attend training to expand knowledge of offered products
- Regular and reliable attendance
Required Qualifications:
- Proven outside sales success with 3+ years of experience (Technical sales preferred)
- Proven success at securing new accounts
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Highly self-motivated and disciplined
- Team player
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to travel out of town and/or overnight
- Must successfully compete pre-employment screening requirements including background check, MVR and drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with an ERP and CRM system
- Experience in oil and gas industry, specifically automation and measurement
- Background of proven technical competence
