Looking for a Regional Business Development Manager for Houston.

The Business Development Manager assists the Group Leader, CRM’s and PM’s in maintaining and expanding a market presence for SSR through coordinating consistent connection with market contacts and clients and researching new connections, leads and other sources for new business. Administer and coordinate specific business development activities and tasks across the Group and Program, in alignment with the overall strategy, and generally serve as a resource to those who hold key client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help facilitate the maintenance of SSR’s business network , supporting consistent connection to market contacts and exiting clients, gathering information about potential projects early enough such that SSR can maximize positioning for consideration
  • Identify potential client targets and work toward securing introductions and seeking new relationships
  • Develop background research on markets and potential clients as well as information on leads and other projects
  • Enter lead opportunities into Cosential and follow up on leads to determine and maintain viability
  • Interface with marketing support staff on requested marketing materials to meet needs of existing and potential clients
  • Provide regular business development reports of connections made in the market through Cosential
  • Administer and review the business development strategies for the entire Program, including organizing, documenting performance, refining details and keeping contact files
  • Assist in coordinating of informational presentations and other means to educate clients/prospects and their communities on SSR’s services
  • Perform special projects and other business-related duties as requested
  • Plan events with a business development focus

An ideal candidate will possess the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or combination of equivalent experience
  • 5 years experience in customer service, marketing, sales or public relations
  • ACE industry experience a must.
  • Healthcare experience preferred;

  • Must know pursuit process, strategy planning, & good relationship building

  • 30-40% travel within the state.

  • Experience in construction or engineering preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of project proposal and submittal process
