Champion Products is looking for an experienced account manager who is looking to work with a company on the rise. Champion Products was founded in 1991 when a young Windsor based entrepreneur decided to load his van with paper shopping bags from Toronto and sell it to local businesses in the Windsor area. As a one-man operation he was buying, selling, and delivering the product for the customers himself. Over time these customers began to ask about more and more food service items which led to an expanded product line along with an expanding customer base in Windsor surrounding areas. Over the following years Champion began adding staff, building a sales team, acquiring more trucks, and warehouse space to help them become a major player in the food service disposables, paper and packaging products, janitorial equipment and supplies, industrial packaging, and safety equipment throughout Ontario and into Michigan. Champion began its push into the GTA market in 2002 when we acquired a local distribution company and we have never looked back. We are a proud minority owned company and member of CAMSC. Today Champion has 8 warehouses with over 800,000 sq. ft., 5 offices, 250+ employees and is looking to find our next Champion!
Responsibilities:
- Communicating with customers, making outbound / inbound calls to potential customers, following up on leads and growing customer base.
- Communicating with customers by visiting business within the surrounding locations.
- Understanding customers’ needs and aligning proper solutions.
- Keeping up to date on the market and products
- Maintaining and updating CRM daily (Hubspot)
- Presenting solutions to prospects and current customers
- Daily prospecting in an open territory and vertical
- Reporting to the Business Development Manager
- Meeting and Exceeding monthly sales and gross profit targets
Education and Experience Requirements
- Post Secondary or equivalent is mandatory
- Bachelor’s Degree + is preferred
- 3-5 years of account management experience required
- 3-5 years of Industrial Sales experience required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience in using CRM (Salesforce.com, Hubspot, Other) is preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills (spoken and written)
- Exceptional customer service skill set
- Strong listener
- Drive for continued growth
- Track record of exceeding sales targets
- Ability to work remotely and in an office environment
- Ability to work autonomously and in groups
Remuneration
- $40,000-70,000 base salary
- Uncapped Commission (% of gross profit)
- Car and mobile allowance
