What you will do
POSITION TITLE: S4 HANA MIGRATION EXPERT

Service Market Logistics (SML), part of Volvo Group Trucks Operations, serves all brands and business areas by managing and optimizing service parts availability and distribution to secure customer uptime. Through our operations, we provide world class service focusing on delivery precision, quality, continuous improvement, cost efficiency and synergies delivering value all the way to our customers. SML North America (NA) is a part of SML and has about 1,000 employees across the United States, Canada and Mexico. We operate the Central Distribution Center in Byhalia, MS as well as Regional Distribution Centers across the NA region.

Mission/Purpose of the Position
Digitalization & IT (DigIT) at SML is a small, engaged, and global team who believe teamwork, competence development and cross functional cooperation are keys to success. We manage the development of IT solutions and are passionate about solution reuse, efficiency and gaining advantage with digitalization and new technologies.

Scope & Influence
This position reports to the Vice President, Digitalization & IT. The position location is flexible.
Essential Functions
  • Drive our migration activities to next generation SAP
  • Ensure we build wanted capabilities in the right framework
Who are you?
Minimum Education and Experience
  • BS/MS Degree holder or equivalent, majoring in electromechanical, software, motor system and control or relevant field / or equivalent experience and knowledge
  • 5+ years of experience in managing complex SAP installations
  • Previous experience in managing S4 HANA migrations
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain and SAP capabilities
  • Strong business-related understanding. Excellent knowledge within products, offering, regulations and customer features

Necessary Technical/Functional/Language Skills
  • As all documentation is in English, proficiency in the English language is required
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to network effectively across a diverse organization and build enduring relationships across functional and geographical areas
  • Strong personal integrity and credibility
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Strong customer knowledge and focus with continuous drive for customer improvement
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office 365)
