What you'll get to do
  • Learn about Dayforce’s cloud infrastructure and the applications that run on them to build a full mental model of how the Dayforce ecosystem works.
  • Contribute to and maintain a large suite of robust tools to improve Dayforce’s reliability, SRE processes, and automate away day-to-day toil.
  • Develop high quality web application software to present data and metrics in a clear and robust manner.
  • Create scripts to collect data, monitor services, automate tasks, and various other jobs.
  • Collaborate with the team to uphold high coding standards, ensuring the production of reliable, error-resistant code.
  • Respond to and remediate production issues as they arise.
  • Participating in Code Reviews.
  • PagerDuty On-Call rotations as required.
Skills and Experience we value
  • Self-starter and passionate individual willing to learn new concepts and technologies as well as contributing to the SRE powered ecosystem.
  • 2-4 years’ experience as an SRE or a Full-stack software developer.
  • Proficiency with at least one programming language (Python or similar programming language).
  • Proficiency with at least one scripting language (PowerShell or Bash preferred).
  • Proficiency with front-end development frameworks (ReactJS preferred).
  • Proficiency with SQL and database engines.
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms and infrastructure as code tooling.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are mandatory.
What would make you really stand out
  • Knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of orchestration tooling.
  • Knowledge of git-ops.
