Job Description
Our Client requires a Business Development Manager to support their business in Western Canada. Based in Calgary, the focus is on developing and winning new business within the Downstream sector, selling to refineries, petrochemical facilities or LNG companies.
The Business Development Manager will report to the North American Strategic Coatings Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience in Oil and Gas (downstream, midstream, refinery) and the position will be based in office 60% of the time with approximately 40% travel. The team currently work 4 days per week from the office and 1 day at home, although there is some flexibility with this schedule.
The Business Development Manager will work alongside a team with 2 others, providing expert support for downstream/LNG clients in technical matters, and creating sales opportunities across the industry. They will work directly with sales and customers to develop products that fit their needs, with a focus on understanding customer requirements for new products and product modifications.
This position requires a true sales “hunter”. The individual will need to be a technical salesperson, and someone who is able to demonstrate the ability to sell a high value proposition to end-users with confidence. Coatings experience is preferred but not essential, as client relationships are paramount.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
