Job Description:
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a key employee who is expected to improve company sales growth by developing new accounts with symbiotic industry referral partners while maintaining existing accounts through consistent communications and follow-up. BDR should be enthusiastic and have excellent communication skills. This position requires reliable transportation. Bachelor's degree preferred.
BDRs are expected to perform the following tasks with limited supervision:
- Develop, manage and maintain strategic partnerships to grow company sales.
- Develop effective account conversion strategies to reignite existing customer base.
- Conduct market research to periodically harvest industry data to establish new lead sources.
- Create a marketing strategy that may include, but is not limited to, emails, cold calling, direct mailing, internet and social media campaigns.
- Work with print designers and assistants to create direct mailers, mass emails and social media content.
- Develop and manage a marketing budget.
- Develop, maintain/manage tracking system for leads, referral fees, thank you notes (gifts, etc.).
- Represent the company at trade shows, mixers, business events, and other various marketing activities.
- Make regular in-person visits with targeted leads (plumbing, real estate, property management and insurance agency offices).
- Give presentations to prospective referral partners.
- May join networking organization(s) such as BNI or LeTip.
- Perform all duties in accordance with the utmost integrity and professionalism.
- Document all marketing expenses and submit receipts for reimbursement.
- Notify Accounts Payable when referral fees are due.
- Have regular meetings with management to report on marketing progress.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
