As a data steward, you know how to manage existing data holdings; implement data policies, standards, and requirements to ensure integrity and quality; drive the collection of additional data; and cleanse and condition data as needed for use in multiple ways. At Booz Allen, you can use those skills to improve the database technology supporting the national security mission.
On our team, you’ll manage data-related issues throughout the data life cycle, implement data policies and standards, and perform data conditioning techniques for data management. You’ll provide your client with peace of mind as you contribute to policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the database. You’ll use technology and tools like ArcGIS, SQL, Python, and other database-specific management tools to identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical database.
In this role, you’ll closely impact national security by ensuring integrity and quality of mission-related data and collaborating with various stakeholders to develop data strategies and provide the necessary data to meet mission requirements. With your technical experience, mentoring, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we’ll focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers.

You Have:
Experience using quantitative and qualitative techniques to solve complex problems using analytic tools and techniques such as GIS, quantitative methods and data visualization, modeling, systems analysis, comparative analysis, and database development
Experience in data mining and cleansing and exploring spatial, temporal, and non-spatial data in both structured and unstructured formats
Experience using MS Office Suite
Knowledge of programming languages, including Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Pig, or R
Knowledge of modeling software, spatial analysis tools and concepts, data mining methods, database structures, and analytic information extraction and visualization
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, including Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Earth Science, Social Sciences, Geographic Information Science, CS, or Physics
Nice If You Have:
Experience using geospatial data and Ersi programs such as ArcGIS
Experience with of a variety of commercial data sources, including geospatially referenced financial data, blockchain data, or business analytics, and how to integrate these with other geospatial datasets
Experience with big data automation techniques
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
