Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to promote GEA's herd management solutions.
- Identify and foster relationships with key stakeholders in the dairy industry, including dairy farmers, industry associations, and potential business partners.
- Conduct market analysis to assess trends, opportunities, and the competitive landscape in the dairy sector.
- Present and demonstrate the advantages of GEA's herd management solutions to potential customers and GEA Dealers.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to craft compelling value propositions and supporting marketing materials.
- Provide technical expertise to customers, ensuring comprehensive understanding of GEA’s herd management systems and their benefits.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze market trends, and gather customer feedback to guide product development and business strategies.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote GEA’s herd management solutions.
Your profile and qualifications:
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Works strategically to plan long-term initiatives (3-5 years) to achieve sales and growth targets for herd management solutions within the dairy industry.

- Propose enhancements to processes or products, ensuring customer satisfaction and discovering new market opportunities.
Main Communication Partners:
- Collaborates primarily with internal teams and maintains accurate sales pipeline reports.
Decision-Making Powers:
- Support decision-making while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Animal Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience in herd management.
- Proven experience in business development or sales within the dairy industry.
- Strong understanding of dairy farming practices and herd management technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Technical aptitude with the ability to explain complex herd management systems.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently and within a team.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in various environments, including farms and industrial sites.
- Extended periods of standing, walking, and moving around.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including international travel if required.
