Job Description
Robert Half Healthcare Practice is looking for a Patient Account Representative for a high-profile Healthcare client. If you are passionate about supporting patients, this could be a great opportunity for you.Essential Duties
- Screen, register, and schedule all new patients for initial intakes.
- Acquire authorizations for treatments.
- Prepare financial paperwork for treatments.
- Payment collections for patient co-pays & payment plans.
- Prepare, distribute and respond to all assigned office correspondence.
- Check voicemails throughout the day and answer/return phone calls to patients, doctors and insurance/billing companies, or allocate in database as appropriate.
- Create and respond to emails from patients, doctors, and insurance/billing companies, or allocate to appropriate coworkers in database.
- Complete personal daily tasks assigned in task database.
- Screen all new patients (email, voicemail, website contacts).
- Check benefits & review finances with patients.
- Initiate InSync Patient Portal & registration paperwork.
- Assure paperwork and demographics are complete.
- Acquire medical records, as required.
- Send intake confirmation emails to physician and patient.
- Submit authorization appeals, as needed.
- Assist with authorizations extensions and continuation.
- Provide weekly status reports and attend all staff meetings.
- Keep the shared office areas clean of debris or messy paperwork.
