Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities

POWER Engineers, Inc - Facilities Production Business Unit is growing and we are currently seeking a Process Department Manager / Sr. Engineer. In this role you will work closely with our Process Engineering team, internal and external clients and our Division Leadership to support our existing team to develop, train and succeed in both their careers & projects.

The possible locations for this position is in Minneapolis, MN, Boise, ID, Overland Park, KS or Appleton, WI. Other locations could be considered for a great candidate.

We keep all of our team, throughout the US, in one department. We do not have regional or other breakdowns purposely to foster best in class communications and support. Your team will be in 4 (Minneapolis, Boise, Appleton and Kansas City) of our 11 facilities offices, staff of 15 Engineers/Designers with opportunity to grow into more. POWER values face to face training and mentoring, so you get to travel to see your team as well as make presentations and attend conferences. The candidate should have strong management, Business Development, mentorship, recruiting connections, training and strategic planning abilities. Running a department is a challenging and rewarding experience. Developing annual strategic plans, working with bi-annual personnel appraisals and developing 1 - 5 year initiatives will be some of your leadership roles. You will be implementing the POWER Guidelines and Procedures for your Department.

This candidate needs to develop and grow both our internal team as well as our connection to the industry and our clients including: Sales, Professional Organizations, Conferences & Shows and Presentations. Our main market is Food & Beverage with some support work in Chemical and Renewable Gasses. You will need to be self-motivated, an excellent collaborator and someone that wants to take ownership of initiatives, including Business Development, to drive them to the next level. You will report to the Area Manager and be a peer leader with the other discipline department managers.

Required Education/Experience

15 years relevant work experience in Process engineering (Food & beverage and Chemical experience)·
5+ years management / leadership experience
Sales/marketing/Business development experience
Excellent communication skills required, with proven client or customer interactions or experience
Microsoft Office proficiency (Word/Excel/Outlook/Project)
QA/QC Checking & Management experience
Organizational Leadership / Communication Expertise

Desired Education/Experience

BS in Chemical Engineering or similar education and/or experience
A&E Design Consulting a plus
Revit, AutoCAD and BIM general knowledge
Experience in design of agribusiness, food, beverage, industrial anaerobic WW digestion and personal care systems and facilities, including mechanical utilities, process equipment, mechanical conveying and pneumatic conveying systems is a definite plus
