Business Development Manager – Plastic Manufacturing: Medical Device – Base Salary to 90k/year – Los Angeles, CA

  • Our client is a global manufacturing of plastic films. With over 75 years in business, our client serves multiple industries including automotive, medical and pharmaceutical, shipping, and packaging industries.
  • Our client is looking to add a Business Development Manager to their medical device and pharmaceutical division. This person will be responsible for account managing current accounts while bringing in new business and growing the division. The Business Development Manager will be selling to medical and pharmaceutical manufacturing companies across the US.
  • This role will require both domestic and international travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and build relationships with both assigned and new customers to increase sales
  • Identify new business opportunities to maximize profitability and reach objectives
  • Provide quotes and prepare sales contacts with maintaining the medical device market customer profiles
  • Work closely with R&D and Quality team to develop new business opportunities based on customer feedback and needs
  • Presents company product portfolio to prospects to differentiate themselves
  • Attend trade shows as needed

Qualifications:

  • BS in Plastics/Polymer Engineering or related technical field
  • Minimum 2+ years in related outside sales experience within the plastics and/or medical device industry
  • Background in plastics manufacturing is preferred; will also consider general medical/pharma manufacturing background
  • Must be self-motivated to win new business
  • Willingness to travel – 60% of the time; both domestic and international (MX and Germany)
  • Plus for bilingual English/Spanish

Compensation for this role includes a base salary up to 90k/year plus bonus program. Our client also offers a comprehensive benefits package with medical, dental, and vision 100% paid for by employer. Along with 401k, PTO, and much more!
