Job Description
Purpose: Provides the practice and delivery of safe, effective, ethical and culturally competent emergency care to patients of all ages in emergency situations who require stabilization and/or resuscitation as a result of illness or injury. Key accountabilities include fostering interdisciplinary collaborative relationships; making decisions in patient care/triage; ensure smooth shift operations; facilitate a seamless transition for the next shift that includes exchange of essential information. Performs technical procedures according to Jackson County Regional Health Center Ambulance protocols and functions within their Scope of Practice in accordance with the Iowa Department of Public, Bureau of EMS. In addition, assists in CS, Purchasing, Cardiopulmonary/Med Surg, ED or any other area of the hospital when asked/needed.Employment Status: FT .8
Working Hours: 7p-7a & 11p-7a
Work Schedule Details: Varies, every 3rd weekend/call required
Qualifications Include: Iowa Paramedic Certification, Class D Chauffer's License, BLS, ACLS, PALS, Dependent Adult & Child Mandatory Reporter. Must complete CPI within 1 year.
