ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ideate, develop, test, and implement packaging and labeling solutions that meet the needs of the company, regulatory bodies and customers.
- Identify, evaluate, and select ideal packaging materials, machinery, and equipment.
- Work on reducing packaging-related costs and improving the efficiency of the product packaging process.
- Monitor industry trends and innovations to stay updated with best practices and technologies for packaging.
Primary Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:
- Design packaging solutions that protect and preserve products during transportation, storage and handling
- Studies and records time, motion, methods, and speed involved in performance to establish standard packaging rate and to improve efficiency.
- Develops and writes all instruction manuals and support documentation for packaging processes.
- Develops and conducts equipment-training programs and demonstrates skills to trainees.
- Prepares charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate packaging workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling
- Observes workers operating packaging equipment or performing tasks to determine time involved, ergonomics and fatigue rate, using stopwatch, motion-picture camera, and similar equipment.
- Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of packaging materials, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating workstations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
- Conducting feasibility studies to determine the suitability of packaging solutions for specific products.
- Troubleshoot new and existing packaging and labeling problems involving designs, materials and processes and provide creative, timely, and cost-effective solutions.
- Analyzing data and researching to improve the packaging process and implementing relevant solutions.
- Developing and executing standard operating procedures and guidelines for product packaging in the company.
- Ensure consistency and quality of packaging across the organization.
- Work closely with global suppliers, engineering, product management, operations, and sourcing.
- Participate in product introduction teams, to deliver new products to market.
- Specify and recommend efficiency tools and test methods to develop and validate packaging designs
- Identify opportunities and lead implementation of all Continuous Improvement projects.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Follows established company safety procedures

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering
- 3 years related experience in a manufacturing plant or a warehouse operations
- Quotation of new and existing business
- Experience with ISO/TS quality systems.
- Experience in Cost of Quality (COQ) and Statistical Process Control
- Knowledge of and utilization in standard mechanical gauging instruments.
- Ability to manage multi-disciplined team environment using key metrics and problem-solving tools.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $117,721.00 - $129,182.00 per year
