Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and identify potential new accounts through strategic research and proactive solicitation, utilizing a combination of cold calls and emails.
- Meet or exceed annually set sales targets by effectively managing sales opportunities.
- Maintain and enhance existing accounts with a structured development plan, ensuring strong customer relationships and satisfaction.
- Provide technical information and customized proposals to meet specific client needs, coordinating closely with the Engineering team for custom product estimates.
- Follow up on proposals and quotes diligently to secure business, and coordinate with the Sales Manager to navigate any sales barriers.
- Analyze and summarize competitor information and trends to identify new sales opportunities.
- Maintain high-quality standards by adhering to company policies and suggesting improvements when necessary.
- Ensure comprehensive customer satisfaction through the entire sales process, from initial inquiry to post-delivery follow-up.
- Assist the Accounting Department with the collection of past-due payments as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in a business or technical field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in technical sales.
- Proficiency in various computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of closing deals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, preferably SPIRO, to manage customer interactions and data.
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a dynamic sales environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on building customer rapport and effective communication.
- High initiative, creativity, and a strong sense of responsibility and urgency.
- Bilingual abilities, especially proficiency in Spanish, are highly desirable.
