Electrex Inc. is seeking to add to our team a results-oriented Customer Account Manager who plays a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional customer service, managing customer relationships effectively, and driving business success through sound judgment, strategic thinking, the ability to influence and negotiate effectively, and the empowerment by business leadership to make decisions that impact both the business and customers positively.

Location: Onsite in Hutchinson, KS (this role is not eligible for hybrid or remote)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7a to 4p

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience operating within an ERP System.
  • Experience Managing accounts within a CRM.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • 5+ years of experience delivering excellent customer service, with a demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships and exercise discretion and independent judgment with contract impact assessment.
  • Experience collaborating with various lines of business to ensure effective communication throughout the purchase order cycle, with a focus on independent decision-making.

  • Proficiency in managing large amounts of data with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong active listening and problem-solving skills when collaborating with team members and external customers.
  • High proficiency in attention to detail, particularly in purchase order reconciliation, data entry, and report generation.
  • Exceptional ability to identify and rectify data anomalies while exercising discretion in resolving discrepancies.
  • Self-direction and commitment to serving the best interests of team members and external customers through independent judgment.
  • Honesty/Integrity- Does not cut corners ethically. Earns trust and maintains confidence. Does what is right, not just what is politically expedient. Speaks plainly and truthfully.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation of customer quotes, for the Customer assigned – New and existing (Pricing & Annual Re-Pricing) in accordance with company guidelines; review exceptions with National Sales Manager.
  • Follow up on all customer-provided quotes in a timely manner to drive sales growth.
  • Enter all customer-received Purchase Orders into our ERP, Syteline, for production, and track shipment deadlines via the planning department.
  • Report in daily standup any potential commitment misses, RFQs, and Production vs. Customer commit dates.
  • Communicates with customers daily on quotes (confirm Purchase Orders enroute – all open RFQs), orders, issues, and inquiries at each point of contact about potential new business opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO procedures related to CS function.
  • Submit/revise ISO procedures to attain/remain in compliance.
  • Manage customer accounts via a CRM.
  • Attends Customer meetings as necessary to communicate on company deliverables, sales initiatives, forecasts, open orders, etc.
