Inside Sales Representative

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining, growing, and servicing new and existing accounts in our current serviced territories, primarily utilizing voice, fax, and electronic communications.

Essential Functions:
· Perform high-quality customer service, including rapid response to all inquiries of material and services provided and on-time delivery according to customer specifications.

· Encourage customers to purchase additional related products and services.

· Support the Outside Sales Representative in qualifying and opening new accounts in the territory.

· Manage the order writing process.

· Coordinate related outside processing.

· Trouble shooting for potential problems.

· Assist in rectifying problems and claims.

· Solicit feedback from customers on products, services, pricing, and overall performance.

· All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Expereince:

1. Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s or associate degree business or related field.

2. Minimum Experience Required: 5 years of industrial or retail sales experience.

3. Skills Required:

i. Bi-lingual Spanish preferred but not required.

ii. Strong customer service skills

iii. High energy, strong mathematical skills

iv. Strong telephone etiquette and technique

v. Excellent oral and written communication skills

vi. Attention to detail.

vii. Moderate computer skills (Excel and Word)

viii. Highly self-motivated

ix. General knowledge of carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum products is a plus.

Physical Job Description:

· Typical Working Conditions:

o Indoor office environment

o May need to identify material outside.

o Height adjustable desk

o Noise level may vary.

o May be exposed to various chemical fumes and airborne particles.

o Fast-paced environment subject to numerous schedule and priority changes and short notice activity

· Equipment Used:

- Office equipment:computer, keyboard, 10-key, phone, printer/copier/scanner, PPE when necessary.

· Essential Physical Tasks:

- Standing/sitting/walking. May be required to lift heavy items at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $41.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
