Location: Nebraska
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, during normal hours of operation.
Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some overnight travel may be expected.

Job Summary:
Inteconnex is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to drive sales and business expansion in Nebraska. The core responsibilities include generating leads, establishing and maintaining professional relationships with current and prospective customers, and closing new opportunities that meet our company’s financial goals.

Founded in 2006, Inteconnex specializes in integrated physical security systems, serving government, education, utilities, healthcare, and large enterprise markets. With a strong presence in Nebraska and Iowa, we pride ourselves on consistent growth and a high-profile customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and acquire new customers within the Nebraska and Western Iowa territories
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their security needs and ensuring their satisfaction
- Represent Inteconnex’s full line of products and services
- Establish and manage a prospect sales funnel, tracking key milestones for qualification and closure
- Set and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts and provide weekly progress reports on the sales funnel
- Achieve performance targets in line with sales quotas
- Assist with marketing campaigns aimed at cultivating new business
- Collaborate with sales engineers, operations, marketing, and vendor partners to provide strategic proposals that meet customers’ and prospects’ unique security requirements
- Manage travel and entertainment budgets effectively
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to physical security
- Possess a high-level understanding of technical aspects within the physical security field
- Promote a culture of safety within the location, ensuring that all security operations adhere to safety protocols and regulations
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to security services
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of proven B2B sales experience in the education, government, utilities, or healthcare industries
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field
- Strong understanding of successful sales processes and strategies
- Excellent professional communication and organizational skills
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent time management skills and results-oriented performance
- Demonstrates ethical integrity while completing essential functions
Additional Experience (Preferred):
- Background in physical security sales (video surveillance, access control, etc.)
