The Senior Business Development Manager will help our organization grow by identifying and securing new contracts that will have a major strategic impact on the long-term success of the company. The Senior Business Development Manager will lead and oversee the development and growth of profitable new business segments, develop and maintain effective key customer relationships, as well as ensure business growth through directing and managing business development activities. Ideal Aerosmith has a proven track record of solving complex test solutions issues for our customers. We are looking for the right person to grow existing accounts and develop new accounts while providing feedback on new solutions needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop a clear understanding of Ideal Aerosmith solutions for product and service offerings
- Develop new business and long-term account opportunities through prospecting and cold calling
- Own responsibility for the identification of new business opportunities and expansion of existing relationships and partnerships in the aerospace/avionics test solutions industry and drive the capture process
- Complete RFP's and proposals, follow up on submissions and close opportunities,
- Be aware of organizational growth initiatives regarding market and target customer segments, and the company’s potential to meet customer needs
- Develop sales presentations, conduct seminars, and participate in meetings with clients and external vendors
- Oversee, maintain, and upgrade existing accounts and coordinate, manage, and resolve any issues to ensure ongoing client satisfaction
- Select and attend trade association meetings, conferences, shows and exhibitions
- Must be able and willing to travel 2-3 times a month, as needed
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 5+ years of sales and marketing experience
- An MBA or technical degree is preferred
- Aerospace experience desired
- To meet the requirements for government contract work and work in a restricted facility, candidates must adhere to specific criteria set by federal regulations. This includes: 1) a U.S. citizen (whether born or naturalized); 2) a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or 3) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C.

- Proficient in drafting clear, professional, and persuasive written communications, including proposals and reports.
- Ability to negotiate and close deals, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Experience in developing and executing business development strategies aligned with company goals.
- Ability to uncover client challenges and offer tailored solutions to meet their needs.
- Strong understanding of industry trends, competition, and market demands.
- Self-motivated and able to manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Proficient in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools for tracking, reporting, and communication.
Physical Requirements
- Must have the ability to lift and/or carry 45 lbs.
- Ability to write compelling and professional documents
- Ability to work for extended periods at computer workstation and use a keyboard.
- The position will require walking, standing, squatting, crouching, stooping, lifting, climbing, pulling, pushing, sitting, repetitive motion and kneeling
